California State
Summer School in Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)
is a new pre-college residential experience at UC
Irvine and UC Santa Cruz that gives participating
high school students access to the laboratories of
UC scientists and engineers, enabling them to explore
advanced topics not traditionally offered in high
school curricula.

ArtsBridge, based at UC Irvine, connects with
California public schools to provide art, dance, drama,
and music education.

The SAGE Scholars program (510/987-9100), on the UC
Irvine and UC Berkeley (510/642-2325) campuses,
provides comprehensive multi-year paid internships,
extensive mentoring, workshops and financial support
to promising, economically disadvantaged students
during college.

a statewide electronic advising system based at UC
Irvine, provides information to community college
students about transferring to UC and to the California
