including class field trips, student internships, and a
summer field school.

ArtsBridge, based at UC Irvine, connects with California
public schools to provide art, dance, drama, and music education.

backgrounds to increase their general literacy by incorporating
the humanities into their studies.
- Dickens
in the Classroom at UC Santa Cruz is a workshop for
English literature teachers that demonstrates strategies
for teaching Dickens in the schools.
